actually realized that footballs work the same way with men.
We went to Prospect Park once and brought a football to throw around. Within half an hour we steadily gathered 10 guys that wanted to play football. We ended up playing 5 on 5 for a couple of hours. I think Joel said something like, “we should have brought a puppy, footballs only attract other guys.”
Since then I’ve observed this phenomenon many times so I think it’s pretty common. So I hypothesize that women and gay guys can have the equivalent effect that us straight guys do with puppies by bringing a football. This theory has only been tested in the US, so I wouldn’t try it overseas.

No, I disagree, I don’t care for dogs at all (ok, maybe puppies a little). Kids are a much bigger chick magnet - it is a proven fact!
Why would I want to sit on the sidelines and watch all you guys play with my football? Maybe it would work for gay guys, but not so much for women.
Plus I totally throw like a girl.

Substitute a soccer ball for the football and a baby for the puppy (actually I think puppies attract world-wide) and you’re set for most of europe.

- well, i don’t think you would just sit there, but rather throw the ball around with a friend perhaps. i don’t think that throwing like a girl would matter.

Men with babies are WAY more attractive. Although this reminds me of a time my boyfriend told me “Men can’t handle babies. When they cry, we just want to punt them.”

nice observation! i’ll test it out this summer =) if i’m feeling extra nerdy maybe i’ll even makean experiment out of it and add variablesas different sports and graph the differences in the guysthey attract: football vs. soccer vs. frisbee, etc. i’ll send you the report when i’m done
