So I was walking to work this morning from the NYSC at 41st and 7th, and when I got to 38th and 8th avenue, I heard a whistling sound from above. I look up and there was a 10 foot long metal pipe tumbling through the air. It landed about 30 feet away from 8th avenue, and there was a shower of bits of glass after it fell. The people around me were stunned. Then the guy who holds the sign that reads, “Subway =>”, yelled, “watch out everybody!” Good old subway guy.
Also, I watched Descent last night with a few fellow Xangans. Worst decision ever. I had to go back to my studio apartment on the upper west side, alone! Also, when I turned off the lights to go to bed, I heard my stupid toilet dripping, which sounded exactly like the water in the cave in the movie. Then the light from the street cast an eerie glow through my apartment. Definitely not good for someone with an overactive imagination!
